When I am searching the Internet and seeing what my potential clients see when they are looking for me I always see nice articles written about how to find the right developer. Many of those articles tell you to look for a portfolio of that developer's work. This is important for most starting developers; however, there becomes a time when you cannot or wouldn't want to innundate your potential client with a super long rap sheet of your accomplishments. Additionally I get contacted many times via email which I prefer and people want to know what kind of experience I have had and what type of websites, software or programs have I worked with. While I have been developing on the Internet before Windows 95 was cool some of my old work is no longer around. Some of my customized work is still in place and running with huge companies like BellSouth (now known as AT&T) and Ryder Logistics. Follow the 'Read More' link for my 2007 projects and experience.
Links Manager - http://www.linksmanager.com I work on a daily regular basis with the LM site. I supervise and run the HelpDesk system and have answered over 14,503 tickets. With an average of 5 hour resolution time and 99% customer satisfaction rate. You have got to make your clients raving fans! I also do web development work for different areas of the site. I review and approve any custom email notifications. I help edit and develop the LinksManager blog and newsletters. Link Partners - http://www.linkpartners.com I currently am responsible for forum moderation and development for the LinkPartners Forum. This requires daily checks and maintenance to not only combat spammers but also to answer customers comments, questions and feedback. It is vital to keep the community informed and when it is by use of a forum it can be popular. While not many active posting is going on the forum's read rate is very high. This means we know people are coming in and getting the information they need most. AnteUp Gambling Links - http://www.gamblinglinks.com Currently the lead developer for this casino and gambling review site. The entire site and backend system is a company design which was developed internally and has been further modified as time has progressed. It was briefly offline for around a year and is now back and doing business again. Air Taxi Flights - http://www.airtaxiflights.com I was a lead developer on this site from the home page design and implementation to the customization of the directory script that is used to serve the different listings. Whenever new articles or companies emerge onto the light jet industry I am involved in updating the site and keeping everything positive. Occasionally I assist with the forum for that site as well. Get Web Content - http://www.getwebcontent.com When this site was in launching phase I was responsible for setup and modification of the back end billing systems. There was some front end HTML work done on my behalf as well. AAOK Bail Bonding - http://www.aaokbailbonding.com Lead Developer for a new online presence of an established and successful bail bonding company in Roswell Geogia. A good friend of mine is a bailbondsman there and he referred this job to me. Thank you again Cory! This siet is basically a WordPress blog that has been modified and combined with a LinksManager account. This allows the bail bond company to take over the website after I have everything running. This is a good cost effective strategy for the small to medium business that needs to manage as much web development in house as possible.
